LOCTITE 222 (Series 222) is a low-strength threadlocker supplied in 0.5 mL capsules/tubes for easy application on fasteners up to 1/4 inch. It cures to form a secure, removable bond for small fasteners and is formulated as a dimethacrylate ester liquid. The product features a gap fill of 0.005 in., full cure in 24 hours and an application time around 10 minutes. Performance temperature range extends from -65°F to 300°F and flash point is greater than 93.3°C. Typical specific gravity is 1.05 with viscosity between 1200 to 5000 cP. Packaged as small capsules/tubes for industrial and automotive uses, this Loctite threadlocker is used to prevent loosening of threaded fasteners while allowing disassembly with hand tools when required.
