MSA V-Gard Cap (model 488146) is a cap-style safety hard hat engineered for superior top-impact protection. Featuring a high-density polyethylene shell with UV inhibitor, the V-Gard cap uses the Fas-Trac III ratchet suspension for a comfortable, self-adjusting fit with three nape strap adjustments and a contoured ratchet comfort pad that improves airflow and prevents hair-pulling. The helmet is slotted for a wide range of MSA accessories (sun shades, shields, liners, lamps) and is suitable for general industry, manufacturing, utilities, construction, oil, gas and petrochemical applications. V-Gard caps meet or exceed ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 (Class E) and CSA Z94.1-2005 (Class E) requirements and are third-party tested and certified by SEI.
