The MSA V-Gard Cap (model 492559) is a cap-style safety hard hat engineered for top-impact protection and user comfort. The high-density polyethylene shell (with UV inhibitor) provides durable impact resistance, while the Fas-Trac III ratchet suspension offers self-adjusting crown straps, three levels of nape adjustment and a contoured ratchet comfort pad for improved airflow and reduced hair-pulling. Slotted for a wide range of MSA accessories (shades, shields, liners, lamps), the V-Gard cap meets or exceeds ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 (Type I, Class E) requirements and is third-party tested and SEI-certified. Ideal for general industry, manufacturing, electrical/utilities, construction, and oil, gas and petrochemical applications.
