MSA Skullgard 482002 cap-style hard hat features a durable phenolic resin shell and an advanced Fas-Trac III ratchet suspension for enhanced comfort and secure fit. Welders lugs are attached for compatibility with welding accessories; the non-slotted design and smooth crown make it suitable for welding, steel mills, construction, mining, oil/gas and other industrial applications. These Skullgard helmets meet Type I (top impact) helmet requirements (ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Class G) and are third-party tested and certified by SEI. The shell is tested to radiant heat loads up to 350°F. Fas-Trac III suspension includes flush rear lug attachments to reduce pressure points, three levels of nape strap adjustment, and a contoured ratchet comfort pad to improve airflow and reduce hair pulling. Date codes are molded into the shell brim indicating month and year of manufacture.
