It is intended for manufacturing machine keys that fit into mating keyways to transmit torque between shafts and hubs or bushings. Step key stock is used for damaged or inconsistent keyways. Material: low-carbon steel (material specification 1018). Finish: zinc plating for corrosion resistance.
