The IRWIN SPEEDBOR family of spade wood drill bits delivers high-performance wood boring across a range of diameters. Core features include the patented Blue-Groove parabolic scoop for rapid chip removal, chamfered or optimized cutting edges and extended spurs to reduce breakout and improve hole quality, and a hex or grooved hex shank to resist slipping in chucks and fit quick-change systems. Built from hardened/forged tool steel and heat-treated for strength, these 6-inch spade bits are engineered for fast, clean holes in woodworking and general-purpose drilling, and are compatible with electric drills and 1/4" impact-rated shanks on impact drivers.
