DIXON TICONDEROGA melt metal marking crayons are hex-shaped marking tools sized approximately 4.5 x 1/2 inches, designed for industrial metal marking applications. The PMA-certified non-toxic formulation supports legible markings at elevated temperatures; formulations vary for use on cold metal prior to heating or on hot metal. High-heat formulations applied at room temperature are legible to 2200°F, while low-temp formulations applied at elevated application temperature (200°F) are legible to 1200°F. These crayons are suitable for weld marking, forging, heat-treatment marking and other metalworking tasks and are engineered to produce dependable marks with minimal spatter.
