DuPont Tyvek 400 TY212S disposable lab coats are made from flash-spun high-density polyethylene, a unique nonwoven material that delivers an optimal balance of protection, durability and comfort for limited-use protective apparel. Tyvek provides an inherent barrier to hazardous small-sized particles without films or laminates that can abrade or wear away, maintaining consistent barrier performance after wear and abrasion. Features found across the TY212S family include open cuffs, snap front closure, two pockets, laydown collar on some styles, reinforced stress areas and elastic openings where applicable. Some Tyvek 400 garments offer additional details on certain styles, such as attached Tyvek FC boots for skid resistance or extended closures for easier donning. Recommended uses include lead and asbestos abatement/remediation, spray painting, clean-up, controlled-environment work and general maintenance/operations.
