IRWIN Speedhammer SDS-Plus Masonry Drill Bit, Carbide Tip

IRWIN Speedhammer SDS-Plus masonry drill bits combine a patented flute design and carbide tip to deliver efficient, accurate drilling and longer bit life in rotary hammer applications. The carbide tip provides improved speed and centering while the patented flute removes dust more effectively to reduce binding and increase drilling speed. Chrome vanadium spring steel shafts are hardened to 50-53 HrC for durability; reduced shank above the flute permits dust escape in deep-hole work so the full bit length can be used. Additional quality features noted across the Speedhammer line include shot-peened, double-tempered finishes to reduce breakage and a copper-braze tip for high heat resistance and reduced tip loss. Compatible with SDS-Plus rotary hammers and backed by a limited lifetime warranty, these bits are intended for masonry and deep drilling applications where dust removal and bit life are critical.
