Designed for pipeline and tight-space welding, the Jackson Safety PL280 welding helmet combines a flip-front design with durable construction for demanding jobs. The hood ships with a 2" x 4.25" Shade 10 filter and a Z87.1+ high-impact polycarbonate window; a patented lens retention system allows effortless loading of filters, covers, and protective plates. The PL280 is offered in durable Super Tuff nylon or lightweight fiberglass constructions and includes headgear options such as the patented 370 Speed Dial ratcheting system or a slotted hard hat adapter to suit various work setups. Its compact bucket-style shell is molded for access in small spaces and overhead welding, and the flip-front eliminates the need to remove the hood during pre/post preparation.
