3M Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+ Gun-Grade Latex-Based Elastomeric Firestop Seal

The 3M Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+ is a gun-grade, latex-based, elastomeric firestop sealant that cures upon exposure to the atmosphere to form a monolithic flexible firestop seal. When properly installed, this sealant helps control the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gasses before, during and after exposure to a fire and exhibits excellent adhesion to a full range of construction substrates. It is formulated as a re-enterable and repairable fire barrier solution with a high-solids formula for limited shrinkage, and is water-based for easy installation and cleanup. The continuous, pliable seal allows for typical pipe movement and is suitable for sealing construction joints and through-penetrations; it is tested/listed to ASTM E1966 (UL 2079) for fire-resistive joints and ASTM E814 (UL 1479) for through-penetrations and meets CAN/ULC S115, providing an L-rating (smoke seal).
