They feature a tight square-wire spring and copper contact material for positive copper-to-copper continuity, and tighten without ratcheting while remaining removable for re-use. The tough, flame-retardant thermoplastic (ABS) shell shields connections from weather, resists heat distortion up to 105°C (221°F), and resists chemical action from hydrocarbons and dilute acids/alkalis. WireGard connectors are UL-listed and rated to 600V max, providing reliable performance in residential and commercial electrical applications.
