Factor 55 Ultrahook Closed System Shackle Pin Mount (Red) — Featuring an industry-first closed system shackle mount hole machined into the body of the hook, the Ultrahook adds multiple safety and protection features. The design includes a safety latch retraction pocket for a clear throat opening and an integrated secondary safety latch locking feature—the latch locking pin is stored in the body of the Ultrahook and can be removed and inserted into the hook tip to lock the latch in place. EPDM rubber pads protect fairleads, and a titanium double-shear pin is used for secure attachment. A finger grip feature promotes proper "Hook Up" orientation. CNC-machined from 7000-series military-grade aluminum, the Ultrahook is lightweight yet engineered and tested in the USA. It fits all steel cables and synthetic ropes up to 3/8" diameter and attaches with 5/8" diameter 6Al-4V hardware. Rated for a maximum load of 16,000 pounds, the Ultrahook is the first winch hook that can be stored against the fairlead to protect hawse or roller-style fairleads from metal-to-metal contact.
