Permatex 81182 Gear Oil RTV Gasket Maker is a specialty silicone sealant specifically engineered to withstand the harsh gear oil environment in differentials and transfer cases. Gear oil friction modifiers can break down ordinary RTV products, causing leaks; this Permatex formulation has been tested to OEM specifications to provide reliable sealing power where standard RTVs fail. As a gasket maker it seeks out and seals leak paths that cut gaskets cannot. The product is supplied in a 3 oz tube (package may vary).
