Valvoline Daily Protection Conventional Gear Oil is formulated to protect gearboxes and differential housings in light-duty vehicles. The sulfur-phosphorus additive system and quality additives deliver extreme-pressure protection, excellent durability for towing and heavy loads, and protection against gear wear from shock loads. This thermally stable formula defends against extreme temperatures, foaming, scuffing, pitting, rust and corrosion while reducing friction and heat in the drivetrain for reliable year-round performance. It is recommended for conventional rear axles, hypoid differentials and non-synchronized manual transmissions specifying GL-5 or GL-4 and is compatible with many limited-slip applications.
