Permatex Devcon High Strength Threadlocker Red

Permatex/Devcon high-strength red threadlocker is formulated to permanently lock and seal threaded fasteners and press fits in the 10 mm to 25 mm (3/8" to 1") range. Designed for heavy-duty and high-temperature applications, formulas in this family provide strong holding power (up to approximately 3,000 PSI on slip and press-fit assemblies) and resist shock, severe vibration, chemicals and heat (suitable formulations are rated to 450°F). Applied as a liquid or gel, the threadlocker fills the space between threaded metal parts, cures to form a tough adhesive bond and seal, and can replace set screws and snap rings. Removal of fully cured product may require localized heating, specialized tools or hand tools. Common uses include studs, camshaft sprocket bolts, crankshaft bolts, cylinder block and rocker arm studs, ring gear bolts, transmission input/output threads and other demanding assembly applications.
