The StarTech IH2006 KVM Extender is an AVoIP-based HDMI and USB extender kit that enables remote access to a computer's keyboard, mouse and 4K 60Hz HDMI display over a TCP/IP network. The plug-and-play, driverless design requires no software or drivers and is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux as well as hardware platforms including Intel, AMD, Snapdragon/ARM and Apple Silicon. The Tx/Rx kit supports up to 330 ft (100 m) over Ethernet/CAT6 with one-to-one or expandable one-to-many configurations by adding IP KVM receivers (sold separately). The transmitter includes a local HDMI output for a nearby display, plus RS232 and 3.5mm audio passthrough. The units feature a durable metal housing, rubber feet for desktop use, and included mounting kits for wall or under-desk installation. Technical characteristics include IP connectivity protocol, ON-ON operation mode, 5V operating voltage, 2A current rating, multiple-way circuit type, and connector types including HDMI, USB Type-A/Type-C and 3.5mm jack. Package components and packing are provided as a transmitter and receiver kit with mounting hardware.
