StarTech PCIe GbE SFP network cards provide modular 1GbE SFP connectivity by adding open SFP slots to a desktop or server PCI Express expansion slot. Designed for IT administrators, these NICs support PXE boot for centralized OS deployment, 9K jumbo frames to reduce packet overhead, and VLAN tagging for network segmentation. They include virtualization features such as VMDq, SR-IOV and Intel VT-c to improve VM performance and reduce CPU overhead. The cards work with interchangeable single- and multimode MSA-compliant SFP modules, enabling selection of transceivers based on distance and connector type.
