Chicago-Latrobe 912 12" aircraft extension drill bits are NAS-type, long-reach cutting tools produced from premium high-speed steel (HSS) with a black oxide finish to improve wear resistance and lubricity. Each bit incorporates a 135° P3 split point for self-centering performance, reduced thrust and improved chip evacuation when run in the recommended direction, and a round shank to fit a wide variety of toolholding systems. Manufactured by Greenfield Industries to NAS 907 Type B geometry, these extension drills are designed for aerospace and heavy-duty industrial applications on carbon steel, alloy steel and cast iron. Available in multiple wire sizes and pack quantities for long-reach drilling tasks where chip control, penetration and precision are required.
