Sikaflex-221 is a high-quality, professional-grade one-component polyurethane sealant/adhesive that cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity to form a durable elastomer. It provides permanent elastic seals with high adhesive strength and is non-sag for vertical and horizontal joints. Uses include sealing and bonding a wide variety of substrates such as wood, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramic materials, and plastics. Sikaflex-221 resists aging and weathering, is non-corrosive, can be sanded and overpainted, and is NSF-registered and UL-listed for potable water in select colors (black, grey, and white). The product ships in a cartridge that fits manual, pneumatic, and electric caulking guns for accurate application. For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of contaminants; tooling and finishing should be completed before the skin forms (typically within about an hour).
