Sikaflex-715 is a one-component silane terminated polymer (STP) sealant designed for roof sealing applications. It is semi self-leveling for roof membranes, offers primerless adhesion to difficult substrates, very good UV resistance and low VOC content. Sikaflex-715 has very good adhesion and is suitable for open joints and a wide variety of RV roofing components including EPDM, anodized and bare aluminum, zinc-plated steel, certain primers, 2-part coatings, ceramics and plastics (manufacturer testing recommended). The product cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity and can be processed between 5 °C and 40 °C (41 °F and 104 °F); optimum application between 15 °C and 25 °C (59 °F and 77 °F). It can be applied with manual, pneumatic or electric piston guns and pump equipment. Uncured material can be removed with Sika Remover-208 or a suitable solvent; once cured it must be removed mechanically. Sikaflex-715 is not suitable for overpainting and is intended for experienced professional users; surface preparation and compatibility tests are recommended.
