Ronstan offers ratchet blocks with both auto and manual engagement modes. In auto mode the ratchet engages when load is applied but releases when load is removed for smooth line run-out, useful for rapid easing and gybing asymmetric spinnakers. In manual mode the ratchet can be switched on or off as required. These orbit blocks deliver exceptional holding power with a sophisticated NC-machined sheave featuring Generation 2 patented cross-hole geometry, providing up to 21:1 holding power and minimizing rope wear.
