PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 3M Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979N is a highly specialized industrial-grade duct tape ideally suited for demanding applications in the nuclear power plant, shipbuilding and steel fabrication industries. Tape resists wear, abrasion, moisture and UV exposure for up to 12 months and removes cleanly for up to six months from most opaque surfaces, indoors or outdoors. The thick rubber adhesive attaches well to masonry and other rough surfaces, while the curl-resistant backing conforms to irregular and curved surfaces, tears cleanly off the roll by hand, and is easy to write on. In addition to the nuclear power, shipbuilding and stainless steel industries, this high-performance tape is also used in construction, electrical, industrial, marine and military applications where low leachable halides and sulfur are required. Complies with MIL-STD-2041D(SH), Notice 2 for leachable halides and sulfur.
