RectorSeal No.5 Sub-Zero pipe thread sealant is a low-odor, non-staining, soft-set thread sealant formulated for low temperature applications. Brushable to -35°F, the No.5 formula seals, lubricates, and protects threaded pipe and fittings. It is suitable for use on galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, reinforced fiberglass, and PVC (not for ABS or CPVC). For potable water and natural gas lines up to 2" and pressures up to 100 psi, the piping system may be placed into immediate service; other services are recommended 24 hours after application. The product is lead-free, contains no metal, permits easy break-out with no thread damage, and is packaged in a pint brush-top container for convenient application on tradesman jobs in HVAC/R, plumbing, and general construction.
