RectorSeal No.5 Sub-Zero pipe thread sealant is a low-odor, non-staining, soft-set thread sealant formulated for low temperature applications and professional trades. The No.5 formula is a brush-top 1/2 pint container designed for easy application on threaded pipe connections. It lubricates, protects, and seals threaded pipe and fittings and is lead-free with no metal, permitting easy break-out without damage to threads. This product is brushable to -35°F and is suitable for use on galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, reinforced fiberglass, and PVC (DO NOT USE ON ABS OR CPVC). It is rated water resistant and is commonly used for natural gas and water lines up to 2" and pressures up to 100 psi (immediate service for some systems; other services recommended 24 hours drying). Packed as a 1/2 pint brush-top container (Item model number 27651), it is intended for professional HVAC/R, plumbing and construction applications.
