Tempil Tempilstiks provide a simple, reliable way to verify surface temperatures. Model 28318 melts at 302°F (150°C) and is supplied with a slip-resistant metal holder engineered for smooth operation and maximum user control. Tempilstiks are used for preheat and temperature verification in welding and other industrial processes. They are traceable: each stick is marked by temperature and lot number and is NIST traceable. Tempilstiks are free of contaminants such as sulfur, lead and halogens and deliver accurate results (±1% of rated temperature). This product is sold as a single indicator (1 count) and includes the metal holder for ease of use. Ideal for welders and inspectors ensuring compliance with preheat requirements including AWS D1.1 and common ASME codes.
