3M Scotchkote Electrical Coating FD is a fast-drying liquid sealant and flexible bonding agent supplied in a 15 oz self-contained can. Designed to improve the weather resistance of taped splices and provide joint sealing protection for vinyl tape applications, it offers good adhesion to wood, metal, rubber and plastic and is compatible with Scotch Vinyl electrical tapes. Typical tack time is 12 minutes at 72°F (22°C). It is suitable for direct burial, direct water immersion, or above-ground applications and is ideal for applications subjected to excessive oil.
