The welding helmet allows you to make multiple adjustments to the helmet and headband for optimal comfort and uses a lightweight design of only 15.5 ounces. It has user-selectable dark shades 8 through 12, light shade 3 and a viewing area of 1.7 inches x 3.7 inches. It has three sensitivity levels for reliable arc detection. Auto Darkening Filter Reacts Quickly After Striking an ArcThe Speedglas 100V lens also features five user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 through shade 12, and a light shade of 3. The auto darkening filter quickly darkens after striking an arc to maintain optimal viewing. The auto darkening filter also reduces the need to flip the viewing lid, which can be stressful on the neck and a distraction while welding.
