Weiler Tiger 7 in Type 29 Zirconia Alumina Flap Disc, Aluminum Backing
Customize
The Weiler Tiger family of Type 29 flap discs uses zirconia alumina abrasive on a rigid aluminum backing to deliver aggressive material removal and long life. Flap discs are constructed from overlapping coated abrasive pieces attached to a hub; the coated construction uses adhesive to bond abrasive grains to the backing. The angled Type 29 (conical) shape provides greater workpiece contact on curved surfaces and is commonly used with right-angle grinders at a 15°–35° angle to help dissipate heat. These discs handle applications such as weld blending, deburring, deflashing, edge chamfering, stock removal and combined grinding and finishing in one step, helping reduce finishing time and cost. Fastening options found across the family include threaded and unthreaded round-hole styles to suit different arbors and nut attachments. Weiler manufactures precision abrasives and maintenance products and supplies this Tiger line for aggressive grinding and finishing tasks.
- Threaded hole for attachment to grinding tools
- Designed for use at a 15- to 35-degree angle to dissipate heat
